It's amazing how much time, effort, and money goes into planning your wedding day. After all this work you want to be able to get the most out of your special day and Carmen played a major role in making this happen. Carmen is so much more than a day of coordinator; she did a site visit weeks before the wedding, planned out my full wedding day timeline, and reached out to all my vendors before the wedding to make sure everything was in order. I would consider myself an extremely organized person and questioned if I needed the services of a wedding coordinator, I'm sure glad I did!
Being able to relax and get pampered the morning of your wedding and not worry about decor setup, late vendors, or any other possible issue is priceless. In typical Vancouver fashion it rained on my wedding day and Carmen was able to do a last minute change at my venue from an outdoor ceremony and dinner to indoor. This was no easy task as everything was already in place outdoors including all the flowers but Carmen took control and got the change completed while I was out doing photos so I never even had a chance to stress about it. I'm sure there was a long list of fires Carmen put out that day I am completely unaware in addition to everything I do know about.
From her being there to safety pin my bustle when I tore it, to driving my mom home that night when a cab was an hour wait, to packing up decor after we left; having Carmen there saved the day many times. I can't thank Carmen enough for all her hard work on my wedding day and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
This is a message for all the brides to be! I just wanted to share a little marriage advice. I had initially been planning my wedding on my own but towards the end followed some advice from friends and even complete strangers who stressed how helpful having a day of coordinator can be.
After searching for a long time I met Carmen Marer! I could honestly say hiring Carmen was the best decision I could have ever made! To say she was exceptional would be an understatement. With only a month to spare Carmen worked with me hand and hand to get all the details of my wedding in order. She was always messaging me and replying to me in the wee hrs of the night. I'd ask her to help me organize my timeline and she just got it. I did not have to ever repeat myself as she was extremely attentive. We had some mishaps in planning but she fought to have everything I envisioned come true.
On the day of the wedding she did a lot of damage control when mass went long and threw all our timing off track. We somehow got caught up and all the timing ended up lining up. If it sounds like I'm selling her services I pretty much am! Haha. So for anyone looking for a day of coordinator please hire Carmen! She will make your wedding dreams come true!
The best decision i made in my wedding planning was contacting and hiring Carmen to help with my diy wedding! she blew us away, going above and beyond what she was asked to do and made our day more beautiful and spectacular than we ever dreamed!!! I cant express what a difference she made - she put all my worries to rest and made our vision come true.
I was able to rest easy on our wedding day knowing she was there! she even came back in between ceremony and reception to make sure no one messed up our decor while flipping the space for the reception!!! and then to top it all of she single-handedly fit almost all our decorations in her car at the end of the night and dropped them off the next day!! she dealt with our crazy families and crazy decor ideas which included heavy stumps, branches and frames and handled it all with ease and class!
She is a gem and I highly recommend to any bride - you need to be able to relax on your wedding day and know everything is taken care of - you need Carmen!
I could not be more thankful for everything Carmen did for us leading up to and on our wedding day. Due to unforeseen circumstances with a previous wedding coordinator, I got in touch with Carmen only a couple of weeks before our wedding through a recommendation in a Wedding group on fb- and thank goodness I did. She is amazing to work with! There was tons of communication leading up to our day and I really don't know how we would have survived the day without her. She pulled everything together - coordinated with vendors, ensured our timeline went as planned, and practically set up our entire venue! In every interaction Carmen made me feel at ease, she took control when she needed to and honestly went above and beyond all of my expectations.
